East Lake Youth Cheerleading

Parent / Cheerleader Code of Conduct

 

1. No jewelry (including body jewelry) during practice, games, or at competition(s).  

2. No nail polish, long and/or fake fingernails at games or competitions.

3.     If cell phones are brought to practice, they must to be placed in the cheerleader’s bag or in the provided basket.  They will not be
used, unless permission has been given by the coach.

4. Any valuables should be left at home.  ELYFC is not responsible for any lost or stolen items.

5.     Hair must be secured up and completely out of the face during practice, games, and at competition(s).

6.     Punctuality is required for every practice and game.  Please always be on time and prepared.

7.     Profanity or abusive language is not permitted by any cheerleader, at any time.  Always respect fellow cheerleaders and coaches.

8.     Never post any negative comments on any website or chat rooms (i.e. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, SnapChat, etc.).

9.     NO GOSSIP !!  No gossip about team members; No gossip about other teams; No gossip about coaches or board members…Leave the
drama at the front gate.

10. Practice days may be changed or additional practices may be added during the season.

11. Parents, cheerleaders, and coaches MUST represent themselves and ELYFC in an appropriate manner.  There is a zero tolerance
policy in effect towards fighting, alcohol, drugs, and any other activities that are unfavorable to our program.

12. It is the parent/guardian’s responsibility to know what is going on with your child’s squad. Please check your emails and our website
(
www.EastLakeEagles.com) regularly.

13. All practices are mandatory for all cheerleaders.  (Only exception is emergencies or contagious illness)

14. Homework is not an acceptable excuse for missing practice. Withholding a child from a practice should never be used as a form of
punishment.  If your child is missing practice, it affects the entire squad.

15. Approaching a coach in the middle of practice or games is not an appropriate time to discuss any matters.  Please feel free to
email any concerns or contact the coach and/or cheer director before or after practice.

16. Parents/Spectators must remain in the designated concession and/or bleacher areas during practices and games. All coaches and
instructors are required to have an updated background check. For the safety of our program, please follow these guidelines.
